In 2004, I became a Girl Scout leader for Silver Sage of Boise, Idaho. I started as a Brownie leader, but as my troop advanced to Juniors I followed them as their Junior Leader. I was disappointed in the fact that there weren’t many activities for the girls to get involved in. Therefore, I began organizing events with my troop and reaching out to the other Girl Scout leaders in our area to see if they would be interested in getting the troops together. These events allowed the community to see our organization, but more importantly it helped the girls to network with other Girl Scouts in the area to form a sisterhood. Six months later, I was nominated for and promoted to Service Unit Director.
As Service Unit Director, it was my responsibility to organize regional events and oversee all the troops from Eastern Oregon and Central Idaho. It was during this time I realized how much I truly enjoyed planning events and getting my hands dirty in preparing them.
Another passion of mine, is to get really great deals and be able to pass them along to my clients. No matter what your event is or the size of the guest list we can make your event one to remember. A truly successful event not only achieves its original goal, but makes your guests ask, “When is your next event?” This is when you know you made a great impression.
